Jonas Alaska er en av sin generasjons sterkeste låtskrivere her til lands, og står bak uforglemmelige låter som «October», «If Only as a Ghost», «In The Backseat» og «Morning Light». Han var trippel Spellemannominert for sitt debutalbum, og har siden den gang sluppet fem album som alle har fått strålende mottagelse, både i- og utenfor Norge.

Etter slippet av det kritikerroste albumet Roof Came Down, høsten 2020, satte Jonas Alaska seg ned med blanke ark og en intensjon om å skrive poplåter for andre artister. Underveis i prosessen ble han imidlertid han så glad i låtene, at han bestemte seg for at de skulle utgjøre hans syvende studioalbum, «Girl». Det utypiske albumet fikk masse oppmerksomhet, og låtene derfra ble listet på NRK P3, P13 og P1.

For tiden er Alaska i gang med et nytt musikalsk prosjekt, der han har beveget seg tilbake mot utgangspunktet sitt, mer eller mindre alene med gitaren og pianoet. Med sterke tekster, vakre melodier og en minimalistisk og lekker produksjon, signert hans venn og musikalske makker Mikhael Paskalev.

Jonas Alaska is one of the strongest songwriters of his generation in Norway, known for unforgettable songs like "October", "If Only as a Ghost", "In The Backseat", and "Morning Light." His debut album earned him three Spellemann Award nominations, and he has since released five critically acclaimed albums, celebrated both in Norway and abroad.

Following the release of his highly praised album Roof Came Down in the fall of 2020, Jonas Alaska sat down with a blank slate, intending to write pop songs for other artists. However, during the process, he grew so fond of the material that he decided it would become his seventh studio album, Girl. This unconventional album garnered significant attention, with tracks receiving airplay on NRK P3, P13, and P1.

Currently, Alaska is immersed in a new musical project, returning to his roots—working more or less alone with his guitar and piano. The result features powerful lyrics, beautiful melodies, and minimalist yet exquisite production, crafted by his friend and musical collaborator, Mikhael Paskalev.
